More about Alternate Currents:
Alternate Currents opens space for conversation, ideation, and action around national and international discussions in the arts across multiple platforms, both on- and off-line. Together, the Alternate Currents Blog, Discussion Series, and Working Group support critical, transdisciplinary responses to systemic challenges, both on- and off-line.
Alternate Currents Working Group members become part of a robust support network of peers seeking to open their practices to collaboration, critical feedback, and alternative working processes. They produce on-the-ground creative research for publication that opens space for critical reflection around how justice in the arts is interpreted, incubated, and documented.
Each group member receives a $1,500 honorarium to further their research. Their work is published in a year-end collaborative publication.
