Artist Grants are awarded in individual amounts of $500 or $1,000 and funds can be used for, but are not limited to, covering costs associated with:
Meeting basic needs like rent, food, and bills.
Research and/or travel.
Marketing and/or promotional materials.
Supplies, equipment, and/or software.
Any other need prioritized by the artist.
Artist Grants support Omaha-area artists and organizers working to challenge dominant systems, forge collaborations, and engage with their communities. These unrestricted awards provide direct financial support that can be used in whatever way allows artists and organizers to best continue their work.
Our Artist Grant application process is straightforward and managed in Submittable. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed quarterly. We ask applicants to submit an Artist Statement, an Impact Statement, a Work Sample and respond to prompts offered in the application form.
