Amplify’s Artist Support Grants are designed to give artists of all disciplines the chance to experiment and create new work, develop new audiences, and exhibit outside the confines of larger institutional systems. These $5,000 merit-based awards are unrestricted, meaning the recipient can use the award for whatever will support their practice best. By recognizing and awarding financial support to exceptional artists in the region, Amplify seeks to strengthen artists’ voices, advance their careers, and enhance Omaha’s profile as a place where artists can live and work. 

A call for 2020 Artist Support Grant applications will open January 3 and remain open until 11:59PM on February 2, 2020. To help prospective applicants prepare submission materials, Amplify is hosting two Artist Support Grant Pro Sessions to review eligibility requirements and award details during the year-long grant term.  Participants will also receive application advice and suggestions designed to help applicants:

• compose a strong artist statement,

• assemble a legible work sample,

• format an artist CV and works cited page and

• better understand the jury selection process.
