Amplify's grants and programs are awarded through an application process that includes submitting demographic information, written statements, and audio or visual material that's reviewed by external selection panels.

We know the application process isn't perfect and comes with its own particular conventions and biases. As part of an on-going commitment to refine our application processes with an emphasis on inclusivity and equity, we'd like to invite Omaha's cultural community to join us via Zoom on Thursday, July 23rd at 6:30pm for an open conversation about what's working and what could be working better.

You'll receive a link with Zoom meeting information after you register. During the conversation, Amplify staff will share data we've collected over the past three years of administering our Grants Program and then open the floor to listen and learn more about specific hurdles you've encountered in Amplify's application process and/or more general roadblocks that make you less likely to apply for artist grants and programs.

Whether you're familiar with the application process or coming to it completely fresh, we'd love to hear from as wide a cross-section of Omaha's cultural community as possible.
