Amplify Arts Grants Program is designed to give artists a platform to experiment, develop new audiences, and create and share work outside the confines of larger institutional systems. Applications for our 2022 Generator Grants open Monday, May 3rd and will close on Sunday, June 6th at 11:59pm.

On Thursday, May 20th, Amplify is hosting Generator Grant Office Hours from 12pm-2pm. Applicants are welcome to join and ask Amplify staff questions while they work on their application during this informal and unstructured open meeting time.

More about Amplify’s Generator Grants:

Amplify Arts' Generator Grants provide space and funding for artist-organized projects to take shape outside of larger institutions. Generator Grant recipients receive $1,500 in grant funding, project support from Amplify staff, and unlimited access to Generator Space (1804 Vinton St.) during their 6-week grant term. This application is for 2022’s schedule of Generator Grant projects.

Artists and organizers working in all disciplines are encouraged to apply. These awards support group exhibitions, performances, and projects that involve 2-5 participants – they do not support solo shows or performances. Inter- and cross-disciplinary projects, with an emphasis on collaboration and community building, that center the work of artists who identify as members of historically underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged and will be favored. Projects that intentionally reduce their ecological footprint by limiting material waste, energy consumption, shipping work long distances, etc. are also strongly encouraged and will be favored.
